Graphic Artist Requirements
Applicants must be a full time student and be in good standing with the university. This person must have adequate knowledge working with design programs and photography, as well as written and verbal proficiency.
It is necessary that applicants possess a strong working knowledge of the following:
• Illustrator
• Photoshop
Current Job Description
We are looking for someone who can work about 20 hours/week designing and printing publicity for the Student Union and UPC. The types of publicity created in the normal week are flyers, posters, banners, table-tents, ads, and hand bills. Some of the larger projects our graphic artist works on are semester calendars, t-shirt designs, give-a-way designs, and brochures. The Graphic Artist will also need to create and maintain a database of photos of UPC events and other happenings in and around the Union. Additional types of projects may come up over the course of the year.
Compensation
This is an hourly paid position and starting pay will depend on the level of skills the individual possesses.
