Room/Event Requests (Virtual EMS)

To request space in the Student Union or request event approval go to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Student Union Virtual EMS.

The Student Union hours for events are Monday - Friday 7:00am-9:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 11:00am-6:30pm. Reservations outside of normal building hours may have an overtime fee applied.

Sodexo’s Louisiana Spice must cater any event held on campus. No outside food allowed. Request for catering can be made through Virtual EMS. To contact catering please email catering@louisiana.edu.

*Dye Hard Fans

11.06.09 | The Spirit Committee will be handing out "Dye Hard Fan T Shirts" to the most spirit students at the Double Header Basketball games on November 14 @ the Cajundome beginning at 5 p.m.

11.04.09 | On Thursday, November 12, 2009 students and faculty will have a chance to have money added on to their declining balance by bringing as many canned goods as they would like to a table set-up outside of Cane Break Cafeteria inside the UL Lafayette Student Union. Students/faculty will have $1.00 added to their declining balance for every canned good they bring. This event is "Cans Across America" and it is a chance for the UL Lafayette community to help combat hunger in our area and it is also a great chance to set a Guinness World Record for most canned goods (pounds) collected in a 24- hour period. Canned goods will be collected from 7:00 a.m. on November 12, 2009 to 7:00 a.m. on November 13, 2009.

Weigh the Waste

11.04.09 | On, Thursday, November 12, 2009 Sodexo Campus Services and UL Lafayette are teaming up to see how much food we are wasting. Food wasted from Thursday will be weighed at 6:00 p.m. in Cane Break Cafeteria. And, on Thursday, November 19, 2009 Cane Break Cafeteria is going trayless and at 6:00 p.m. we will weigh food waste and compare it to the food waste from November 12th. This is an effort to make UL Lafayette a "greener" campus and we appreciate the participation of the entire campus community. Thank you from Sodexo Campus Services and UL Lafayette.
