AACC CommitteeAfrican-American Culture Committee

The African-American Culture Committee (AACC) gives you the opportunity to share information concerning the distinct heritage of the African-American people. You will have a chance to research, plan and present cultural, educational and historical projects such as Black History Month, the Celebration of Martin Luther King’s Birthday, and Kwanzaa. The African-American Culture Committee strives to enlighten both the campus and the community of their roles in American Society. Meetings are held in the Bastille Room on the second floor of the Student Union on WEDNESDAYS @ 2:30 P.M.

Events CommitteeEvents Committee

This Committee will plan many recreational activities, at the same time gaining valuable practical experience in planning and promotion. The Events Committee will plan and coordinate events such as, Drive-In and Dive-In Movies, Laughfest, Spring Music Fest, Miss UL Pageant and more. You plan the events, book the acts, promote the shows, and meet the stars. Meetings are held in the Bastille Room on the second floor of the Student Union on Wednesdays @ 4:00 p.m.

Spirit CommitteeSpirit Committee

Yeah Rouge! Yeah Blanc! Yeah Cajuns…Allons! The Spirit Committee is the vital link between the UPC and UL Lafayette Athletic events. This committee lives up to its name by promoting school spirit year round. They plan fun, spirited events such as tailgating at home games, road trips to away games and pep rallies throughout the year. Meetings are held in the Bastille Room on the second floor of the Student Union on WEDNESDAYS @ 3:30 p.m.

Traditions CommitteeTraditions Committee

Help keep UL Lafayette’s traditions alive by participating in the Traditions Committee. This committee keeps busy throughout the year. The summer and fall semesters are filled with planning and organizing the events surrounding Homecoming week, but the fun doesn’t end there. In the spring semester the Traditions Committee is planning the first Lafayette Mardi Gras parade, Krewe of Roux. This hard working committee also plans the university’s greatest tradition - Lagniappe Week. It’s the biggest crawfish boil of the year with 10,000 pounds of crawfish, live bands, games and much, much more. The annual Lagniappe Festival guarantees you will PASS A GOOD TIME!! Meetings are held in the Bastille Room on the second floor of the Student Union on WEDNESDAYS @ 3:00 p.m.
